Why Film Photography?

The grain is too grainy, the waiting is too long and every roll of film leaves you with a feeling of suspense or dread.
Film photography is slow, expensive, unpredictable, unreliable and a waste of precious time.
All images here are made on real film, developed by hand then scanned to make digital images.
What’s the point of that? Why not just use a digital camera and cut out the middle man? Don’t ask me.

If you get a minute have a look at my curated photo sets of photos from London, South and France or the Great British Seaside.
There is also a scrapbook of more recent snapshots and others I can’t find home for anywhere else.

If you would like to download some, I post a selection of free and subscription ones at Unsplash.
